Mahira

Mahira is a special space for our 2 year old tamariki.

Mahira means to be inquisitive and curious, a beautiful reflection of the way our two-year-old tamariki learn and grow.

Mahira is a nurturing and engaging learning environment where toddlers are encouraged to explore, create, discover, and develop at their own pace.

Our natural environment provides endless opportunities for hands-on learning through play, allowing tamariki to run, jump, investigate, and confidently challenge themselves in a safe and supportive way.

Through these experiences, tamariki develop a growing sense of independence, curiosity, and confidence as capable learners.

We offer a wide range of play-based learning opportunities including art and creativity, messy play, construction, sensory experiences, music, and outdoor exploration. These experiences encourage tamariki to express themselves, problem-solve, and discover new interests in ways that are meaningful to them.

In Mahira, we value the importance of relationships and social learning.

Tamariki are supported and encouraged to learn alongside their peers, helping to strengthen their social competence, communication skills, and sense of belonging, while also empowering them as confident and capable individuals.
