We offer high quality education in a safe and caring country environment. We want your child's first steps into the learning world to be fun, imaginative and educational.
We have been operating for over 35 years and for the past 10 years have been located at 1303 Tram Road, on the Swannanoa School grounds. Our centre is a beautiful modern environment with extensive outdoor areas that reflect our natural surroundings. Our environments continue to evolve as the needs of our tamariki and whānau change.
Swannanoa Preschool is community based and it is this sense of community that gives us our unique character. Parents and whānau are a very important part of this and have much to contribute. You are welcome at the centre at any time to share ideas, discuss your child's development or just spend time with your child here at preschool.
Please have a look around our website and feel free to contact us with any queries that you may have, or pop in for a visit.
I'm just about to finish my placement here at Swannanoa Preschool, and I have to say that it is by far one of the best centres that I have been to. All of the staff throughout the preschool have been so friendly, helpful and supportive. They have all given me great feed-forward and shared their professional knowledge with me, which I will now be able to take with me. I cannot thank you all enough for having such an amazing time here, and I will be back for future visits. Again many thanks.

Right from the initial arrival I observed nothing but warmth, and a welcoming team. The environment allows for 'freedom' and I was overwhelmed by the outdoor environment in particular the 'space'. This is truly a unique and special setting. How lucky the children are to experience this!!

We went to your open day today and we would like to say thank you for making us feel so welcome and showing us around. We were very impressed with the flash extension including Rose and Hugh who seemed quite at home and reluctant to leave! Thank you for being so warm and friendly, we look forward to joining you in March/April next year and might pop in during a session before then!

Well done on the awesome new extension, you've kept the yummy soul and spirit.
What an amazing journey from that very first planning to get the original building - and look at you now. Always a pleasure to visit and work with you.
